انطلاقا من أن العروض المسرحية الموجهة للطفل لابد إن تدخل البهجة والسرور إلى نفوس الأطفال عبر تقديم تجربة تتضمن متعة وفائدة. يهدف البحث إلى التعرف على أهمية وأشكال الكوميديا في عروض مسرح الطفل. تكون الإطار النظري من: المبحث الأول: قراءة في فلسفة الكوميديا/ الضحك: تناول أطروحات عدد من الفلاسفة والمفكرين والعلماء إلى الكوميديا والضحك ومن أبرزهم (هنري برجسون) الذي يرى: أن للمضحك دلالة اجتماعية وأثرا اجتماعيا - أن لا مضحك غير الإنسان - أن لذة الضحك حتى في المسرح مشوبة بفكرة خفية - أن الكوميديا أقرب إلى الحياة الواقعية من التراجيديا. وعرض المبحث تصنيفا يضم أربعة أشكال للكوميديا هي: ١- كوميديا الشخصية. ٢- الكوميديا السلوكية. ٣- كوميديا المواقف. ٤- كوميديا التظرف. المبحث الثاني: تصدى من خلاله إلى أهمية الكوميديا في مسرح الطفل، وتبين أن الكوميديا تختزل المسافة بين الطفل والعرض المسرحي: لسببين: أ- لأنها اقرب للحياة الواقعية. ب- لأنها تدخل البهجة والسرور إلى علم الطفل. وأن وجود الكوميديا في مسرح الطفل يجعل الطفل متلقيا إيجابيا. في إجراءات البحث تم وصف وتحليل عرض مسرحية: سندريلا وطيور الجنة. إعداد: منصور نعمان، إخراج: فالح فايز، تقديم: فرقة الدوحة المسرحية. وتوصل البحث إلى عدد من النتائج منها: تجسدت الكوميديا بالسلوك الرذيل للأم وابنتيها وظهورهم بمستوى أخلاقي متدني عندما تؤثر الأم ابنتيها دون وجه حق على سندريلا، وتظهر البنتين سلوكا غبيا في الكثير من التصرفات، استخدم العرض وسيلة التنكر لثلاث مرات في شخصية البوم، الفعل الدرامي في عينة البحث لم يرتكز على تيمة كوميدية، إذ تمحور الفعل حول البحث عن زوجة للأمير، لينتهي العرض بفرحة إعلان الزواج الذي يسعد الجميع. وظيفة الشخصية الكوميدية والمواقف الكوميدية هي وظيفة ترويحية ولإضفاء المتعة ولغرض تخفيف التوتر والضغط النفسي الناتج عن الفعل الدرامي. من أهم استنتاجات البحث: أن الكوميديا في مسرح الطفل وسيلة لترسيخ فكرة معينة وحوار مهم، ولإبراز سلوك محدد إيجابيا كان أم سلبيا. وتساعد الكوميديا الطفل على الاسترخاء، وتسهم في تفريغ شحنات التوتر لديه، أن وجود الكوميديا في العرض الموجه للطفل يضفي طابع التنوع على العرض مما يدفع ملل الطفل عن العرض، ويساعده على المشاركة في العرض. وأن الشكل السائد للكوميديا في عروض مسرح الطفل هو كوميديا الموقف والشخصية.
