The aim of this paper is to shed light on the personality of the Caliph Harun al-Rashid, and to show the aspects of strength and greatness in his life, which made him the most distinguished caliphs of Bani al-Abbas. He was the only one who watered the Byzantine armies with the cups of defeat, in addition to the strength he had in religion and the breadth of knowledge. The importance of this paper is that it reveals the ambiguity of the personality of Harun al-Rashid and removes the manifestations of injustice that were falsely attributed to him.
