|a تعتبر محكمة لبنان الخاصة من بين الهيئات القضائية المختلطة، التي لجأ إليها مجلس الأمن الدولي لتتجاوب مع بعض الخصوصيات في بعض الدول التي وقعت بها جرائم دولية. أثارت طريقة إنشاء محكمة لبنان الخاصة جدلا كبيرا بين القانونيين والمتتبعين، حيث أنها أنشئت بموجب اتفاق بين الأمم المتحدة والحكومة اللبنانية لم تكتمل إجراءاته، ووصف بأنه مشوب دستوريا، تتطلب تدخل مجلس الأمن الدولي لإنفاذه وفقا لأحكام الفصل السابع من الميثاق.

|b The Special Tribunal of Lebanon is considered as one of the mixed judicial bodies, which the UN Security Council has resorted to in order to respond to some peculiarities in some countries where international crimes have occurred. The method of establishing the Special Tribunal of Lebanon raised a great controversy between lawyers and observers as it was established under an agreement between the United Nations Organization and the Lebanese government and its procedures were not completed, and it was described as a constitutional defect that requires the intervention of the UN Security Council to save it in accordance with the provisions of Chapter VII of the Charter.
