المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة تعرف اتجاهات مدراء التربية في وزارة التربية والتعليم نحو أساليب الحد من العنف لدى التلاميذ في المدارس وذلك من خلال دراسة ميدانية، وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع مدراء التربية والتعليم في الأردن والبالغ عددهم "42" مديرا. والعينة هي مجتمع الدراسة نفسه والذي تكون من (42) مديرا تربية وتعليم، واستخدمت الباحثة منهج المسح الاجتماعي من خلال المدخل المسحي حيث تم تطوير استبانة كأداة لجمع البيانات مكونة من (26) فقرة، وظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن اتجاهات مدراء التربية نحو أساليب الحد من العنف لدى التلاميذ في المدارس كانت بدرجة مرتفعة بلغت (4.07). وتبين عدم وجود فروق في اتجاهات مدراء التربية نحو أساليب الحد من العنف لدى التلاميذ في المدارس تعزى إلى المؤهل التعليمي أو إلى سنوات الخبرة. وقد أوصت الدراسة بالعديد من التوصيات، منها ضرورة اهتمام القادة التربويين بإعداد الإداريين والمعلمين وذلك لرفع مستوى كفاءتهم وفاعليتهم وتمكينهم من تطوير أساليب تعاملهم مع الطلبة من أجل تحفيزهم على البذل والعطاء، بدلا من المشاحنات وارتفاع وتيرة الكبت التي تقود بدورها إلى العنف والعدوان.

The present study is a field study. It aims to explore the attitudes of the managers of the directorates of educations of the Ministry of Education towards the methods used for fighting against student violence in schools in Jordan. The study’s population consists from all the managers of the directorates of educations of the Ministry of Education in Jordan. Thus, it consists from 42 managers. The sample consists from all the members of the population. A social survey-based approach was adopted. For instance, the researcher developed a twenty-six item questionnaire. It was found that the respondents have positive attitudes towards the fighting against student violence in schools. That’s because the relevant mean is 4.07. It was found that there isn’t any statistically significant difference between the respondents’ attitudes in this regard which can be attributed to their academic qualification or years of experience. Several recommendations were proposed. For instance, the researcher recommends providing more attention to the professional development of teachers and administrators in schools. Such attention should be provided by the managers of the directorates of educations of the Ministry of Education. The provision of such attention shall raise the performance of teachers and administrators in schools. It shall enable those teachers and administrators to develop the methods they use to deal with students. It shall let those teachers and administrators encourage students to be kind and giving instead of getting into conflicts that lead to violence and aggression.
