المستخلص: إن لعلم مقارنة الأديان أهمية معرفية، إذ يساعدنا على الوقوف على حقيقة الأديان، والتعرف على مدي التشابه والتباين فيما بين الأديان. كما أن هذا العلم يساعد صاحبه على تحديد موقفه من هذا المعتقد أو ذلك. ومع أن الجميع يقر بأهمية الدرس المقارن للدين، لكونه يرشدنا إلى فهم ما آمن به الأنسان من أفكار نبيلة، وما شعر به من عواطف سامية اتجاه الحياة الإنسانية، وما تصوره الإنسان عن العالم المادي، وهما لم ما وراء الطبيعة إلا أن المسائل المتعلقة بمفهوم هذا العلم ومقاصده، لم تكن محل أتفاق بين العلماء على مر العصور.

Comparative religions has cognitive importance, as it helps to identify the truth of religions and to identify the similarities and differences among them. It also helps the student or researcher to determine his status towards a belief or another. Although everyone acknowledges the importance of the lesson of comparative religions, because it guides to understanding what man believed in noble ideas, as well as what he felt of sublime emotions towards human life, and what man perceived about the material world and the world of metaphysics; however, the issues related to the concept and purposes of this science have not been the subject of agreement among scholars throughout ages.

La science des religions comparées a une importance cognitive, car elle nous aide à identifier la vérité des religions et à identifier l'étendue des similitudes et des différences entre les religions. Aussi, cette connaissance aide son propriétaire à déterminer sa position sur telle ou telle croyance. Bien que tout le monde reconnaisse l'importance de la leçon comparative de religion, car elle nous guide à comprendre ce que l'homme croyait aux idées nobles, ce qu'il ressentait des émotions sublimes envers la vie humaine et ce que l'homme percevait du monde matériel et du monde de la métaphysique les questions liées au concept et aux objectifs de cette science, N'a pas fait l'objet d'un accord entre les savants à travers les âges.
