The African economy suffered during the colonial period from exploitation and control in favor of the colonial countries, and after the colonialism, it witnessed a legacy of political and economic fluctuations and poverty, but it tried hard to unite African efforts to face its multiple problems. With the end of the eighties of the twentieth century, most of African countries turned towards the principles of capitalism and economic freedom, to implement economic reform programs and open up to the economies of other world countries.
