المستخلص: يركز العمل المعروض أدناه على الجدل الديني والسياسي الذي أثارته عناصر النخبة السياسية الجزائرية الأولى التي دفعها الزخم محت لواء حركة "الشباب الجزائري" في بداية القرن العشرين. مقالنا يسلط الضوء، عبر نهج تحليلي استطرادي ذو صبغة تاريخية، على بعض النشطاء وخطاباتهم في السياق الدقيق للاستعمار الفرنسي. احتكاك الإسلام بالغرب المستعمر أدى ببعض المفكرين إلى الانفتاح على العلم والتكنلوجيا، ومحاولة إيجاد الحلول لبعض مشاكل التخلف في العالم الإسلامي، ومن ثم انعكاس تطور الفكر الديني الذي يتطلب إصلاحات من خلال إدخال مفهوم الحقوق والحرية. لا تزال الأزمة الحالية في العالم الإسلامي تعيد إحياء النقاشات حول المسألة الدينية اليوم وتبقي في قلب إشكالية التقدم والحضارة الحديثة.

The work presented below focuses on the religious and political debate aroused by the elements of the first Algerian political elite at the beginning of the 20th century. It highlights, in a discursive analytical approach, subjects and their discourses in the precise context of colonization. The entry into contact of Islam with the colonizing West led certain intellectuals to open up to science and technology, finding there the solution to all the problems of backwardness in the Muslin world, hence a reflection on the evolution of religious thought requiring reforms by introducing the concept of rights and freedom. The current crisis in the Muslim world is still relaunching debates around the religious question today and remains at the heart of the issue of progress and modern civilization.

Le travail ci-dessous présenté porte essentiellement sur le débat religieux et politique suscité par les éléments de la première élite politique algérienne propulsée par l’élan ‘’Jeune Algérien’’, au début du 20ième siècle. Il met en évidence, dans une approche analytique discursive, de nature historisante, des sujets et leurs discours dans le contexte précis de la colonisation. L’entrée en contact de l’Islam avec l’Occident colonisateur a amené certains intellectuels à s’ouvrir aux sciences et aux techniques y trouvant là la solution à tous les problèmes de retard du monde musulman d’où une réflexion sur l’évolution de la pensée religieuse, en favorisant l’idjtihad, exigeant des réformes en introduisant la notion de droits et de liberté. La crise actuelle du monde musulman relance aujourd’hui encore les débats autour de la question religieuse et restent au coeur de la problématique de progrès et de civilisation modern.
