عنى هذا البحث بدراسة الخطاب الفكري في النحت الاكدي، وتحددت مشكلة البحث في استعراض وتقييم الخطاب وما ينتجه فكرياً وفنياً وجمالياً وحتى أسلوبياً لتحديد مسار الخطاب وما يبدعه النحت الاكدي. وذلك من خلال هدف البحث الذي تحدد في الكشف عن الخطاب الفكري في النحت الاكدي، ضمن الفترة (2370-2230ق.م) من العصر الاكدي في تأريخ العراق القديم. مع استعراض المصطلحات وتعريفها. كما تناول الفصل الثاني الإطار النظري للبحث والذي استعرض مفهوم الخطاب وبنيته وأنواعه، وكذلك بيان مرجعيات الفكر عند الاكديين، والتعرف على ملامح الفكر في النحت الاكدي مع التعريف المختصر للعصر الاكدي وما رافقه من تحولات بشتى أنواعها وانعكاسها على المنجز النحتي في العصر الاكدي. وفي الفصل الثالث استخدمت الباحثة المنهج التأريخي لتحليل عينتي البحث، واستخدام أداة الملاحظة في التحليل، من خلال اختيار العينة قصديا. وفي الفصل الرابع تم الوصول لبعض النتائج ومن هذه النتائج: 1- ارتبط الخطاب الفكري في النحت الاكدي بالتحولات الكبرى في أنماط التفكير كنتيجة للتحولات التاريخية السياسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية. 2- أقترن الخطاب الفكري في وظيفته التخيلية إلى صور العقائد والأساطير لترسيم شخصيات تحمل دلالات مباشرة، تجعل منه مركز الخطاب.
