520 |d  L’usage des technologies de l’information et de la communication contribuent à améliorer la communication entre les différents acteurs de la chaîne logistique, notamment entre l'entreprise et ses différents partenaires et fournisseurs, le fonctionnement interne de l'entreprise et la relation de l'entreprise avec ses clients. En interne, les TIC tendent à optimiser l'activité par une amélioration du supply chain management : l’optimisation des stocks, d’inventaires de traçabilité, préparation des commandes, contrôle des expéditions …etc. Lorsque la logistique est externalisée, pour des raisons de coûts, de compétences ou par simplicité, les TIC jouent un rôle prépondérant dans les relations avec les prestataires en facilitant la circulation et l'accessibilité des informations.
