المستخلص: In popular culture, the word desert evokes sun, sand and heat. It is a barren and uncultivated space. This representation, though true to a certain extent, cover a very singular reality. The Sahara is also oases, that is to say very ancient living places. Speaking of life, it means that the oases are territories or spaces where the activities are organized by men, who still weave relationships between them. The Algerian Sahara is recently treated as a place of meaning, attract more and more people that traditional Oasis can no more contain. Even the aridity, the Sahara has become attractive both from a standpoint of wealth production or of the amenities it offers. The state has adopted a range of development programs for both infrastructure and economic activities but also to conserve the region resources, and in this context benefited Ahaggar and Tassili parks of many programs that aim to sustain development activities. And some international institutions have joined this initiative, which aims to protect natural and cultural heritage of this broad region such as the United Nations Development Programme UNDP and the Global Environment Fund FME, which reflects the global importance of this heritage, that can be considered an heritage of all humanity.
