المستخلص: Nabi and Rasool in the thought of "Ikhwān aṣ-Ṣafāʾ wa Khullān al-Wafā - the brethren of purity and loyal friends," a theological study. In this study, I explained the ideas and beliefs of "Ikhwān aṣ-Ṣafā" through fifty-two letters attributed to them. I studied their ideas and analyzed them scientifically without any prejudice. My research consists of an introduction and two topics. The introduction identifies this group, introduces them, their letters, and the difference in opinions of people between those who curse them and those who praise them, as the Islamic world was living in chaos and turmoil at the time of their emergence and formation. I then mentioned the statements of scholars over who wrote these letters from among the group of "khwān aṣ-Ṣafā" followed by their statements over the meaning of the Nabi and Rasool through their letters. They consider both words to have the same meaning. They view that the words "Nabi" and "Rasool" are two different words that are united in their meaning. I also explained their opinions on the attributions of the prophets (peace be upon them), their innate and moral qualities. They consider prophecy as non-ending, continuous, and permanent. In the study of the belief of "Ikhwān aṣ-Ṣafā" about the prophets (PBUH), I stated that they view prophets as not limited to any number. They do not believe revelation is being revealed to them. Rather, every good person and philosopher is a prophet, according to them, because they do not believe in angels, revelation, or djinns and demons and even do not believe in the Hereafter. In the second topic, I stated the correct belief brought by the prophets (PBUH) in order to be a response to their suspicions and explained in a way this in conformity with the Qur'an and the Prophetic Sunnah. النبي والرسول في فكر إخوان الصفا وخلان الوفاء دراسة كلامية، بينت فيه أفكار ومعتقدات إخوان الصفا من خلال رسائلهم الاثنتين وخمسين المنسوبة إليهم، فقمت بدراسة أفكارهم وحللتها تحليلاً علمياً بدون تعصب، ويتكون بحثي من مقدمة ومبحثين، والمقدمة فيها بيان لهذه الجماعة والتعرف بهم، وبرسائلهم، واختلاف الناس في الطعن بهم، وفي المدح لهم، إذ كان العالم الإسلامي يعيش في فوضى واضطراب وقت نشأتهم وتكوينهم، وذكرت أقوال العلماء في أسماء من كتب هذه الرسائل من جماعة إخوان الصفا، ثم ذكرت أقوالهم في معنى النبي والرسول عن طريق رسائلهم، وكلا المعنيين واحد عندهم، فهما: أي النبي والرسول لفظان مختلفان لفظاً متحدان معناً، وبينت أيضاً آراءهم في صفات الأنبياء عليهم الصلاة السلام، الصفات الخلقية، والصفات الخلقية، والنبوة عندهم غير منتهية، بل هي مستمرة ودائمة. وفي دراسة معتقد إخوان الصفا في الأنبياء عليهم الصلاة والسلام، بينت فيه أن الأنبياء عندهم غير محصورين في عدد، ولا يؤمنون بأن الوحي ينزل عليهم، بل كل إنسان صالح وفيلسوف فهو نبي عندهم، لأنهم لا يؤمنون بالملائكة، ولا بالوحي ولا بالجن والشياطين، بل لا يؤمنون باليوم الآخر، ثم ذكرت في المطلب الثاني بياناً للعقيدة الصحيحة التي جاء بها الأنبياء عليهم الصلاة والسلام، حتى يكون رداً على شبهاتهم، وبياناً لما يوافق القرآن والسنة النبوية.
