المستخلص: In this research paper, we dealt with a brief definition of Rusicade and its surroundings from the historical and archaeological point of view, based on the most important writings, both ancient and modern, as well as based on the most important archaeological discoveries. Through it, we have tried to highlight the various historical stages that it has seen in the past, starting from the Phoenician inception to the Vandal invasion. We also tried in it to present the face of the city, its physiognomy, and the cultural spread in its immediate surroundings, all with the aim of setting a general framework and a comprehensive vision for this region and bringing it closer to the field of academic research. تناولنا في هذه الورقة البحثية تعريفا موجزا بروسيكاد ومحيطها من الناحية التاريخية والأثرية، مستندين في ذلك إلى أهم الكتابات، القديمة منها والحديثة، وكذلك بالاستناد إلى أهم الاكتشافات الأثرية، وقد حاولنا من خلالها إبراز مختلف المراحل التاريخية التي عرفتها قديما، بدءا من النشأة الفنيقية إلى الغزو الوندالي، كما حاولنا فيها تقديم وجه المدينة وفيزيونوميتها والانتشار الحضاري بمحيطها القريب، كل ذلك بهدف وضع إطار عام وتصور شامل لهذه المنطقة وتقريبها أكثر لمجال البحث الأكاديمي.

On a abordé dans ce document de recherche, la question de faire connaitre sur les deux plans- historique et archéologique- la ville de Rusicade et sa région, et c’est à la base des anciens et contemporains récits, outre les découvertes archéologiques, on en voulant mettre en évidence les différentes étapes qu’a connu la ville depuis sa création phénicienne jusqu’à l’invasion vandale, nous avons également essayer une présentation de la physionomie et le plan de la ville à l’ère romain, ainsi que la propagation des centres urbains dans ses alentours, tout cela dans un perspective de rapprocher plus en plus la région aux cercles académiques compétents.
