عروض السيرك فنون ذات تاريخ طويل وملتصق بالاحتياجات الشعبية وهو فن يؤكد فكرة لغة الصمت والمايم والتعبير الجسدي، حيث تغلب عناصر الفرجة البصرية علي عناصر الفرجة السمعية المعتمدة علي لغة الحوار، كذلك السيرك يضم جماعات ذات مهارات خاصه، ومبهرة، ومدهشة، ومتنوعة لا يكتفي فنانو السيرك بأداء فقرة بسيطة ترتكز على حركات الأكروبات ولكن أصبحت عروضهم المسرحية تعتمد على التشكيل الفني وأصبح المسرح عبارة عن لوحات تشكيلية كما في مسرح الباوهاوس. كما أن السيرك يضم مجموعة متجانسة من البشر تعيش في عالم خاص بها، لها تقاليدها وعادتها، ونظمها التي لا تتوافر في مجتمع أخر، وفن السيرك بهيئاته وأشكاله وما يحتويه من عروض مصدرا غنيا لعناصر التشكيل والقيم الجمالية والتعبيرية ولها دور فعال في الهام العديد من الفنانين وهي مصدر مثير للفنان لاستخلاص عناصره ومفراداته. ومن خلال دارسة فن السيرك يكون لدى الفنان المصور، القدرة على الإحساس بالترابط بين الإنسان والحيوان وبالتناغم الحركي لهؤلاء اللاعبين، أو الراقصين المهرة مع مراعاة الجوانب التعبيرية للشخصية من إيماءات وأوضاع جسدية، كذلك دارسة العواطف ومواقف الصراع المختلفة. وستتناول الدارسة الحالية فنون السيرك كمصدر للاستلهام عند مختارات من فناني القرن العشرين بهدف محاولة إظهار الجوانب الجمالية التشكيلية والتعبيرية في هذه النوعية من الفنون الشعبية ذات التاريخ الطويل والملتصق بالاحتياجات الشعبية. ومما سبق يمكن أن تتحدد مشكلة البحث في الإجابة عن التساؤل الاتي: ما إمكانية الإفادة من فنون السيرك كمصدر للاستلهام في فنون القرن العشرين؟

Also, the circus includes a homogeneous group of people living in a world of their own, with their own traditions, customs, and systems that are not available in another society. The art of circus, with its shapes, forms, and the performances it contains is a rich source of formation elements, aesthetic and expressive values, and has an effective role in the inspiration of many artists, and it is an exciting source for the artist to extract his elements and vocabulary. By studying the art of the circus, the illustrated artist has the ability to feel the interconnectedness between humans and animals and the kinetic harmony of these players, or skilled dancers, while taking into account the expressive aspects of the personality of gestures and physical positions, as well as studying different emotions and conflict situations. The current study will deal with circus arts as a source of inspiration for an anthology of 20th century artists, with the aim of trying to show the plastic and expressive aesthetic aspects of this type of folk art with a long history and close to popular needs. Hence, the research problem can be determined by answering the following question: What is the possibility of benefiting from circus arts as a source of inspiration in the arts of the twentieth century?
