استهدف البحث إلقاء الضوء على مجال الأخشاب باعتباره من أقدم المجالات التطبيقية التي عرفها الإنسان فمنذ بداية الخليقة والأخشاب تحيط بالإنسان، وما زالت الأخشاب جذوعها وفروعها من أهم مواد التقدم الصناعي في عصرنا الحديث، فلم تعد المشغولة الخشبية اسما لأسلوب صناعي وتقني فقط أو عنوانا لأشياء تصنع من الخشب أو رمزا للمنشار والفارة والشاكوش بقدر ما أصبحت اليوم فنا تشكيليا مثله مثل الفنون الأخرى، بما تحمله من مقومات وأسس وعناصر الفن. ومما لا شك فيه إن مفهوم الفن ذاته قد أخذ اتجاه مختلف أيضا مما أحدث تغيرات فكرية ونفسية وفنية من خلال الرؤية الجديدة لبنية الفن شكلا ومضمونا مما أعطى شكل المشغولة الخشبية وتصميماتها حلولا ذات دلالات فنية وابتكارية تؤكد مدى دور وأهمية المفاهيم الحديثة في الفن وارتباطها بمعالجات أشغال الخشب كأحد أفرع مجالات الفنون التشكيلية. كما استهدف البحث رصد الأبعاد الجمالية في أعمال بعض فناني المدرسة التكعيبية. الاستفادة من منهج وأسلوب بعض فناني الاتجاه التكعيبي في استحداث صياغات تشكيلية مبتكرة لمشغولة الخشب. إيجاد منطلق فكري جديد من خلال إدخال نمط تشكيلي جديد للمشغولة الخشبية معتمدا على الأسلوب التكعيبي. ونوصل البحث إلى نتيجة هامة وهي: إن الإحساس الجمالي يتوقف على مستوى النمو الثقافي من حيث البساطة والتعقيد في المشغولة الخشبية القائمة على الاستلهام من أعمال الاتجاه التكعيبي.

Benefiting from the approach and style of some of the artists of the cubist direction in creating innovative plastic formulations for woodwork. Finding a new intellectual starting point by introducing a new plastic style to the woodwork based on the cubist style. The research leads to an important conclusion: that the aesthetic sense depends on the level of cultural development in terms of simplicity and complexity in the woodwork based on inspiration from the works of the cubist direction.
