هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن أسس الحرية التي تستخدمها صحافة المواطن في موقع الجمهورية أونلاين (كممثل للصحافة القومية) وموقع اليوم السابع (كممثل للصحافة المستقلة) ، وذلك من خلال دراسة كيفية لمقارنة لمعايير التفاعلية المستخدمة في الموقعين ،ودراسة تحليلية لمقارنة صحافة المواطن المقدمة بهذه المواقع و تمثلت العينة في 514 موضوع على مدار ثلاثة أشهر ، ودراسة ميدانية ترصد اتجاهات الجمهور المصري نحو حرية صحافة المواطن محل الدراسة ومدى استخدامهم لها و تمثلت العينة العمدية المتاحة من 200 مفردة من مستخدمي صحافة المواطن محل الدراسة. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى: استخدام الموقعين لكل مستويات التفاعلية ونظام التجهيل الجزئي في نشر التعليقات. اهتم اليوم السابع بعرض الشكل الإخباري الموجز ونشر الشكاوى في المقام الأول، بينما اهتم موقع الجمهورية بعرض الشكل المقالي التفصيلي والموضوعات الاجتماعية في المقام الأول. تتمثل درجة استخدام العينة للمواقع محل الدراسة درجة منخفضة، ومدى اهتمام متوسط بهذا النوع من الصحافة، ورصدت العينة اتجاهات إيجابية للعينة نحو حرية صحافة المواطن محل الدراسة أكثر من الاتجاهات السلبية.
"The study aims to reveal the foundations of freedom used by the citizen press on the Gomhuria website (as a representative of the national press) and the Youm7 website (as a representative of the independent press) by studying how to compare the interactive standards used in the two sites, and an analytical study to compare the citizen press provided to these sites. The sample consisted of 514 topics over three months and a field study that monitored the trends of the Egyptian public towards freedom of the citizen journalism under study and their use of it. The intentional sample available consisted of 200 individual users of the citizen journalism in question. The study found the two sites use all levels of interaction and a partial obscurantism system in posting comments. The Youm7 was interested in presenting the summary news format and publishing complaints in the first place, while the Gomhuria website was interested in presenting the detailed article format and social topics in the first place. The degree of the respondents using the sites under study is low, and their interest in such type of journalism was average.
