المستخلص: يمثل علم الذكاء الاصطناعي أحد علوم الحاسب الآلي الحديثة التي تبحث عن أساليب متطورة لبرمجة الآلة للقيام بأعمال واستنتاجات تشابه تلك الأساليب التي تنسب للذكاء الإنساني، ومنها قدرة الحاسوب على حل المشكلات المعقدة، واتخاذ القرارات الرشيدة بأسلوب منطقي ومرتب وفق طريقة تفكير العقل البشري، وتفسير مبررات اتخاذ تلك القرارات، وهو علم أثبت نجاحه في مجالات متعددة كالمركبات ذاتية الحركة والترجمة الآلية والفورية والتخطيط الآلي وجدولة المهام ذاتياً، وكذلك تم استخدامه في ألعاب الذكاء والروبوتات (الإنسان الآلي) وكثير من الاستخدامات الأخرى، ونتيجة لهذا النجاح تبنت تطبيقاته العديد من الشركات والمؤسسات الصناعية والتجارية والخدمية. ويمكن لجامعة عين شمس أن تطور من أدائها الإداري من خلال استخدام تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي كالنظم الخبيرة والشبكات العصبية الاصطناعية والخوارزميات الجينية في دعم أنشطتها الإدارية والتسويقية والتمويلية والتعليمية، حيث يمكن أن تستخدم تلك التقنيات في إدارة تسويق الخدمات الجامعية، وصنع واتخاذ القرارات الداعمة للبحث العلمي، وتقديم خدمات تعليمية متميزة للطلاب، وتطوير أداء الجهاز الإداري للجامعة.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a modern computer science that is looking for advanced processes of machine programming so that it functions and concludes in a simulated way attributed to human intelligence. Examples of AI-based simulation include the computer ability for solving complex problems, its ability to take rational decisions in a logical and orderly manner that is in accordance with the reasoning process of human mind, and its ability to interpret the reasons behind taking such decisions. The AI is a science that has a lot of proven success in different arena; among them the self-propelled vehicles, the automatic and simultaneous translation, the automatic planning and self-scheduling of tasks, intelligence games, robots and etc. As a result of this great success, the applications of AI have been adopted by many companies, industrial & commercial institutions and service institutions as well. Simultaneously, Ain Shams University as an educational institution of higher education could develop its administrative performance through the implementation of artificial intelligence techniques, such as the expert systems, the artificial neural networks and the genetic algorithms in full support of the university administrative, marketing, financing and educational activities. In fact, the artificial intelligence techniques could be implemented for administrating the university marketing services, for making and taking the decisions which support the scientific research, for providing students with distinguished educational services, and for developing the performance of the university administrative body.
