يتناول هذا البحث قيمة أخلاقية هامة جدا في حياة الشعوب، بها قامت السماوات والأرض، وهي قيمة "العدل"، فنحن إزاء تدافع مجتمعي يديره أهل العدل والنزاهة والاستقامة، في مقابل من يمارسون الظلم والقسوة والانحراف والظلم. فالعالم أصبح مسرحا للفتن والمؤامرات نتيجة لافتقادنا للاستقرار والحياة الإنسانية الأخلاقية التي تحقق الأمن الاجتماعي والسياسي، والتي لن تتحقق بدورها إلا بتحقق العدل، من هنا كانت أهمية البحث حيث الحديث عن العدل الإلهي والعدل الإنساني، فالعدل الإلهي يتحقق بناء على حرية الإنسان وعمله وفعله وبالتالي يكون الجزاء، الثواب أو العقاب. والعدل الإنساني حق طبيعي للإنسان مرتبط بوجوده وبتحققه يستمر وجوده وتستمر حياته سواء على المستوى الشخصي أو الاجتماعي أو السياسي، فالعدل هام للإنسان مع نفسه أو مع الآخر، لذلك سوف نتحدث عن العدل الإلهي والعدل الإنساني عند فيلسوف مسلم استلهم فلسفته من القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية الشريفة، وهو الشيخ الرئيس "ابن سينا" فيتكون البحث من ثلاث محاور رئيسية. 1- تعريف العدل لغة واصطلاحا وعند ابن سينا. 2- العدالة الاجتماعية عند ابن سينا. 3- العدالة السياسية عند ابن سينا.
