المستخلص: يعد الشاعر جواد الحطاب من أبرز الشعراء العراقيين المقاومين للاحتلال الأمريكي الغاشم، حيث إنه قد وعي واجبه - والعراق تحت نير الاحتلال واستبداده - أن يغني الثورة ويمجد أبطالها معلنا عن صرخته الأبية ضد الظلم والجور مستثيرا الشباب الغيارى على الوحدة لمناهضة عدوهم اللدود الذي جثم على صدورهم وحملهم فوق ما يطيقون وهم صابرون على الأذى والقهر والعذاب، وفى الحقيقة فإن الشاعر رغم الظروف الصعبة التي مرت ومازالت تمر به - كالاغتيال الذي نجا منه بأعجوبة - بقي متشبثا بتراب وطنه ولم يغادره حتى اليوم، وما ذلك إلا ليمتشق سيف شعره في وجه هذا المحتل دفاعا عن حقوق شعبه وسيادة بلده. ويهدف هذا البحث المعتمد على المنهج الوثائقي الوصفي-التحليلي النقدي إلى معالجة مضامين المقاومة في شعر هذا الشاعر بالتركيز على ثلاثة دواوين من مجاميعه الشعرية، ومن أهم الملامح التي توصل إليها البحث هي: التزام الشاعر بقضايا وطنه، رفضه للاحتلال، مقاومته للمحتل الطامع في خيرات الأرض، وتفاعله مع الفلسطينيين في قضيتهم؛ كما وقد ظهر جليا أن الشاعر سعى أن يرسم بريشة له صورة بديعة لكفاح المقاومين من الفقراء الذين وقفوا وقفة الليث ضد المحتل الأمريكي ومواطئيه الناوين المساس بمقدساتهم واحتلال أرضهم.

Poet Javad-al-Hattab is considered to be one of the greatest Iraqi poets of resistance against brute American occupation, because he has shown to be aware of his duty when his land is under occupation and tyranny. He song Iraqis’ revolution and glorifies its heroes declaring his proud cry against injustice and stirs up the youth (who are patient on harm, oppression and torment) to unite and oppose their sworn enemy who is sitting on their chests and forcing them an unbearable pressure. Al-Hattab, despite difficult circumstances and accidents happened in his life, e.g. a miraculous survivance from an assassination, has stayed in his country to put his sword in the face of this occupier and defend of the rights of his people and the sovereignty of his country. The aim of this research, which is done in a documentary-descriptive-analytical-critical approach, is to address resistance implications in Al-Hattab’s poems by focusing on three of collections of his poems. Important results of this research are: the poet’s commitment to his homeland’s affairs, his refusal to occupation, his resistance to the occupier who covets the good of his land and his interaction with the Palestinians in their affairs. It is evident that Al-Hattab has tried to paint with his words an ingenious picture of the struggle of the resistance fighters who has fanatically stood, like lion, against the American occupier and his subordinates who are violating their sanctities and occupying their land.
