|a فطريات الاسبيروجلس من الفطريات الانتهازية واسعة الانتشار ومن أكثر مسببات الأمراض الغازية الشرسة للأفراد الذين يعانون من نقص المناعة (مثل زراعة الأعضاء والإصابة بفيروس نقص المناعة المكتسب في مراحله الأخيرة). يعتمد الأشخاص الأصحاء على المناعة الطبيعية الفطرية في القضاء على العدوة، حيث تقوم الخلايا البلعمية بالقضاء على الأبواغ الفطرية، بينما تقوم كرات الدم البيضاء المتعادلة بالقضاء على الهيفات بفعالية، وفي حالة حدوث خلل في كفاءة هذه الخلايا فإن فطر الفيومجاتس سوف يسبب في حدوث عدة أمراض منها داء الرشاشات، التهاب رئوي تحسسي وداء الرشاشات الرئوي الغازية.

|b Aspergillus fumigatus is a ubiquitous mold that causes invasive disease in immunocompromised patients. (as organ transplantation and latestage human immunodeficiency virus infection).while healthy people depend of the innate immune responses control infection. Conidia are phagocytosed by alveolar macrophages, while neutrophils are rapidly recruited to the lungs and effectively kill hyphae. however, In the absence of effective macrophage and/or neutrophil functions, might occurs several form of diseases caused by A. fumigatus, including saprophytic colonization (aspergilloma), hypersensitivity pneumonitis and necrotizing pneumonia with angioinvasion (invasive pulmonary aspergillosis).
