لم يكتف سيبويه بتقعيد اللغة وتحليل أساليبها، بل زخر كتابة بتقويم الأساليب النحوية والتراكيب والعبارات والآراء، ولم يعول في نقده ومآخذه على النظر في بنية التركيب والسياق اللغوي معزولا عن العوامل الخارجية والظروف المحيطة بعملية الخطاب. ويتناول البحث نقد سيبويه ومأخذه واعتراضاته؛ ويعرض لأبرز الأسباب التداولية الباعثة على النقد عنده، والمتمثلة في: عدم المطابقة بين الكلام والواقع، ومخالفة قصد المتكلم وغرضه، وعدم تحقق الفائدة، واللبس والإيهام على المخاطب، وعدم مراعاة علم المخاطب، وعدم مراعاة المقام، ومخالفة استعمال العرب، ويخلص البحث إلى أن الاتجاه التداولي له جذور عميقة في (الكتاب)، وأن سيبوبه اهتم بالقضايا والمبادئ التي تعد في الدرس اللساني من الأسس التداولية.
Sibawayh didn’t satisfy by making grammar of the language and analysis its techniques, his book abounds with evaluation of grammatical techniques, structures, phrases and opinions, he didn’t rely on his criticism and shortcomings on looking at the structure of linguistic context and structure isolated from external factors and surrounding circumstances of discourse process. The research studies the objections, shortcomings and criticism of Sibawayh; and shows the most prominent deliberative reasons that encouraging him, represented in: the lack of conformity between speech and reality, the violation of the speaker's intent and purpose, the lack of benefit, the confusion and delusion of the addressee, the failure to take into account the knowledge of the addressee, the lack of consideration of the position, and violation of Arabs using. The research concludes that the deliberative orientation has deeply roots in (the book), and that Sibawyh is concerned with issues and principles that are considered in the linguistic lesson of the deliberative foundations.
