المستخلص: تكمن أهمية هذا البحث في أنه يكشف لنا عن المنعطفات النفسية والتجارب التي مر بها أولئك الشعراء الغزلين، إضافة إلى استقرائه للحالة الشعورية الواعية وغير الواعية التي تكبدها العشاق في سبيل الوصال مع المحبوبة، ونستشرف من ذلك كله نعمات تلك الأحاسيس الرقيقة التي تبلورت في قوالب شعرية إبداعية. وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الغوص في أعماق النصوص الشعرية المتعلقة بهذا الموضوع، وتفسير تجلياتها وأبعادها الموضوعية التي تكشف عن عمق المعاناة التي اصطلى بها أولئك العشاق، كما تهدف إلى إثبات ظاهرة التطور والتجديد في هذا الغرض التي برزت جليا في العصر الأموي. واعتمدت في بحثي على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي الذي يقوم على دراسة الظواهر الفنية وتحليلها، ومن ثم الوصول إلى تفسيرات مدعمة بالأدلة والبراهين. كما جعلت البحث في تمهيد وثلاثة مباحث وخاتمة، أما التمهيد فقد خصصته للتعريف بالأماني ودلالاتها في المعاجم المختلفة، أما المبحث الأول فقد خصصته لدراسة ثنائيات الأماني بين الماضي والحاضر، تناولت فيه استراتيجيات الشعراء في التعبير عن مكنونات أنفسهم، وخلجات ضمائرهم، وبث أمانيهم بطرق إبداعية مختلفة. وخصصت المبحث الثاني لدراسة أماني الوصال النفسية (اللقاء والقرب)، وللشعراء في هذا السياق أمان عجيبة، فقد سما بهم خيالهم الواسع إلى آفاق بعيدة، فصاغوا ذلك بأسلوب إبداعي ماتع. وفي المبحث الثالث درست موضوعة "الخلوة" في أمنيات شعراء الغزل في العصر الأموي، وبينت فيها ما يعتري أولئك الشعراء من صراع نفسي قادهم إلى التمني المذموم أحيانا.
