المستخلص: MalikaMokeddem is a contemporary writer whose career and work lie in between, between two territorial spaces: Algeria and France, between two cultures: North African and Western, between two languages: Arabic, French, and two times: the past and the present. Indeed, her novel the forbidden reveals itself as a “third-space” where interculturalityis manifested through different aspects of writing. It is a ground of encounter and reconciliation between oneself and the other, between History, collective and individual history in a poetic expression on the borders of the real and the imaginary. Such a literary production implements a cultural, linguistic and generic mixture that manifests itself through space, language and characters that evolve in the in-between, and become representative figures of hybridity.

Malika Mokeddem est une écrivaine contemporaine dont le parcours et l’oeuvre se situent dans l’entre-deux, entre deux espaces territoriaux : l’Algérie et la France, entre deux cultures : maghrébine et occidentale, entre deux langues : l’arabe et le français, et entre deux temps : le passé et le présent. En effet, son roman L’interditese révèle un « tiers-espace », le lieu de déploiement d’une interculturalitéqui se manifeste à travers les différents aspects de l’écriture, un terrain de rencontre et de réconciliation entre soi et l’Autre, entre l’Histoire, l’histoire collective et individuelle dans une expression poétique aux confins du réel et de l’imaginaire. Une telle production littéraire met en oeuvre un brassage culturel, linguistique et générique qui se manifeste à travers l’espace, la langue et les personnages qui évoluent également dans l’entre-deux, et qui prennent des figures représentatives du métissage.
