المستخلص: تعد حرفة القط العسيري من الفنون التراثية التي تعكس علاقات المجتمع الاجتماعية والثقافية والنفسية؛ ومن هنا هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على خصائص وسمات فنانات القط العسيري، وإلقاء الضوء على الدوافع التي دفعت المرأة في منطقة عسير على الاهتمام بهذا الفن، والتعرف على المتطلبات التي يجب توافرها بالممارسة، وتوضيح القواعد الجمالية لهذا الفن، وما هي سبل إحيائه، والمحافظة عليه من الاندثار، وقد اعتمدت الباحثة على المنهج الاثنوجرافي؛ وذلك عن طريق المقابلة المتعمقة مع السيدات العاملات بحرفة القط العسيري، والملاحظة من قبل الباحثة للممتهنات لهذه الحرفة. وقد كشفت الدراسة عن نتائج من أبرزها: أن الدوافع التي دفعت المرأة للاهتمام بحرفة القط يغلب عليها إعجابهم الشخصي بهذا الفن ومسؤوليتهم الوطنية تجاه تراثهم، وأجدادهم، وهويتهم المجتمعية، وهناك حالات حاولت إثبات وجودها عن طريق امتهان القط العسيري وزيان المنازل بالألوان، وقد جاءت الوظائف التي تؤديها المتخصصة في فن القط العسيري عديدة على مقدمتها الوظيفة الاقتصادية؛ فكان مصدر دخل مهم للقطاطة وللمنطقة وهو من أهم مقومات جذب السياح، وكذلك هوية معمارية للمنطقة، وقد ثبت دور المرأة في الحفاظ عليه وتزايد الإحساس بالمسؤولية حيال المجتمع والبيئة المحيطة، وساعد في إبراز المهارات والقدرات التي تمتلكها الفنانة (القطاطة).

The craft of Al-Qatt Al-Asiri is one of the traditional arts that reflects the social, cultural, and psychological relations of the community. Hence, the study aimed to identify the characteristics and features of Al-Qatt Al-Asiri artists, and to shed light on the motives that prompted women in the Asir region to pay attention to this art, to identify the requirements that must be met by practice, to clarify the aesthetic rules of this art, and what are the ways to revive it and preserve it from disappearing, and the researcher relied on the ethnographic approach. This was done through an in-depth interview with the women working in the craft of Al-Qatt Al-Asiri, and the observation by the researcher of female skilled workers. The study revealed results: the motives that prompted women to pay attention to a craft The cat is dominated by their personal admiration for this art and their national responsibility towards their heritage, and their ancestors, And their societal identity, and there are cases that have tried to prove their existence through the abuse of the Asiri cat and home decorator with color, and the jobs performed by the specialist in the art of Al-Qatt Al-Asiri came many, foremost of which is the economic one It was an important source of income for the Qatata and the region, and it is one of the most important elements of attracting tourists, as well as an architectural identity for the region. The role of women in preserving it and increasing the sense of responsibility towards society and the surrounding environment has been proven, and it helped highlight the skills and abilities possessed by the artist (Al Qattatah).
