المستخلص: À travers un bref rappel de l'évolution des idées sur l’éthique et la déontologie médicale dans le monde et en Algérie, les auteurs soulignent la nécessité d'une réhabilitation urgente et effective de ces deux cadres de l’exercice de la profession médicale, vu l'état d’effritement de ces principes fondamentaux qui balisent l'exercice de l'art médical et organisent la relation médecin-malade dans ses différentes dimensions. Les auteurs rappellent que l'emballement technique et scientifique auquel nous assistons, nous interpelle tout autant qu’il nous rappelle la nécessité de redoubler de vigilance, et de veiller à ce que cette accélération de la vie et de la dynamique que connaissent les sciences et la technologie ne fasse pas prendre, à l’exercice de la médecine, des chemins inconnus susceptibles d'engendrer des déroutes dangereuses pour le malade en particulier et pour toute l'Humanité en général.

Through a brief reminder of the evolution of ideas on ethics and medical deontology in the world and in Algeria, the authors underline the need for an urgent and effective rehabilitation of these two frameworks of the exercise of the medical profession, given the state of erosion of these fundamental principles which mark out the practice of the medical art and organize the doctor-patient relationship in its various dimensions. The authors recall to memory that the technical and scientific enthusiasm that we are witnessing, calls out to us and reminds us of the need to redouble our vigilance, and to ensure that this acceleration of life and of scientific and technologic dynamics does not push the exercise of medicine, on unknown paths which can generate dangerous routs for the patient in particular and for all Humanity in general.
