المستخلص: To better supervise the vehicle assembly and production sector in Algeria, specifications in which the conditions for exercising this activity are defined have been the subject of an executive decree (August 2020), Specific texts were set up by the government in order to encourage both domestic and foreign investors to participate in the growth of this sector. It is clear that despite the efforts made in this direction (the removal of rule 51/49 for the automotive sector, for example), the results are still not conclusive. This article is intended to be both a legal diagnosis of the automotive industry in Algeria and a critical presentation of the state and nature of investments in this sector.

Pour mieux encadrer la filière de montage et de production de véhicules en Algérie, un cahier des charges dans lequel sont définies les conditions d'exercice de cette activité, a fait l’objet d'un décret exécutif (août 2020). Des textes spécifiques ont été mis en place par le gouvernement dans le but d’inciter les investisseurs tant nationaux qu’étrangers à participer à la croissance de ce secteur. Force est de constater que malgré les efforts consentis dans ce sens, (la suppression de la règle 51/49 pour le secteur de l’automobile par exemple), les résultats ne sont toujours pas concluants. Cet article se veut d’être à la fois, un diagnostic juridique de l’industrie automobile en Algérie et une analyse critique de l’état et de la nature des investissements dans ce secteur.
