The current research was conducted within the framework of the activities of the competitive project "Using waste ashes to obtain economically feasible products". The current research aims mainly to identify the current state of the environmental, health, economic and social effects of waste ashes in Sandoub area, Dakahlia Governorate, by achieving the following sub-research goals: Identifying some of the distinctive personal, social and economic characteristics of the respondents from the residents of Sandoub area, Dakahlia Governorate. Identifying the suggestions of the respondents from the residents of Sandoub area, Dakahlia Governorate, to benefit from the accumulated waste ashes in the area. The current study was conducted in the Sandoubarea of Dakahlia Governorate, where the study area was divided into three geographical sectors in order to identify the geographical extent of the spread of environmental, health, economic and social effects of the accumulation of waste ashes in the study area, as follows: Sector A is 2 km north of Sandoub public dump, and Sector B, which is the area that is completely adjacent to the Sandoub, public dump and Sector C, which is 2 kilometers south of the Sandoub public dump. The human domain of study was represented in the residents of Sandoub area, Dakahlia Governorate, where a simple random sample of them was selected, numbering (100) respondents, of which (34) were surveyed in Sector A, (34) respondents in Sector B, and (32) respondents in Sector (C).The field data was collected during the months of September and October 2019 through a personal interview questionnaire for the members of the research sample, designed to suit the achievement of the study goals. Percentages, frequencies, mean, relative weight and Chi-square test (x2) were used to analyze the data and extract the research results. The study reached a number of important results that can be summarized as follows: The average prevalence of environmental, health, economic and social effects of the accumulated waste ashes in the study area from the point of view of the sample individuals (74.8%, 74.3%, 74.9%, 67.8%), respectively, which are high averages that reflect the severity of the effects that the population of the area are exposed to as a result of accumulated waste ashes near the residential area. The results of the Chi-square (x2) test showed insignificant differences between the three geographical sectors in the study area in relation to the prevalence of environmental, health, economic and social effects. These results reflect the wide geographical spread of these effects in the study area. The results of the study showed that both the health effects and the social effects are widespread throughout the year, while the economic effects are spread in the summer, and the environmental effects in the fall. In total, 25.3% of the effects arising from the accumulation of waste ashes in the area appear during the summer season, 27.0% of them appear in the fall season, while 45.7% of the effects arising from the accumulation of waste ashes in the area appear throughout the summer. The results also showed that 91% of the respondents believe that there are previous efforts to reduce the effects of the accumulated waste ashes in the area, and 90% of them believe that those efforts were governmental efforts in the first place, and the results also showed that 89% of the respondents have knowledge of the nature of those efforts, 83% of the respondents also believe that these efforts did not lead to notable results in limiting the harmful effects of the accumulation of waste ashes in the area. With regard to the desire to participate in future efforts to reduce the harmful effects of waste ashes in the area, 57% of the respondents expressed their desire to participate in it in several forms, including: participation by effort (40%), participation by money (10%), and participation by advertising (7) %). On the other hand, 43% of respondents expressed an unwillingness to participate for several reasons, including: the futility of these efforts (35%), the lack of free time (13%), and the weakness of the financial capabilities (5%).The results also showed that all respondents do not know that there are previous efforts to take advantage of the waste ashes in the area and transfer it to products with economic value, and that all respondents do not know the authorities responsible for previous efforts to benefit from the waste ashes in the area, nor the products intended to be produced, nor the gained results. Finally, the results showed that 90% of the respondents do not know that the waste ashes can be transferred to products with economic value, while only 5% of them suggest using this waste in the production of bricks, 3% suggest using it in the production of pottery, while 2% of the respondents suggest the possibility of exploiting the waste ashes in the tiles industry.
