المستخلص: The research aims to determine the degree of social, economic and marital compatibility as a whole, between husbands and wives. Determining the performance degree of each of them for their studied family roles, determining the significance of the difference between husbands and wives in terms of their marital compatibility, their performance of studied family roles, Determining the significance of the relationship between the marital compatibility of husbands and wives and between the degree of their performance of family roles, determining the significance of the relationship between the studied independent variables of husbands and wives respondents and the degree of their performance of family roles as a whole. The research was conducted in the village of Mahallat Marhoum in Tanta district in Gharbiah governorate on random regular sample amounted to 390 individuals they were 195 of husbands and 195 of wives. Sutable statistic methods were used analyse data The analysis resulted in results that can be summarized as follows: 1- Approximately half of the respondents of husbands (47.2%), compared with approximately two-thirds of the respondents' wives, 65.6% had a high level of social compatibility While about three quarters or more of husbands and wives, had high economic compatibility they are 71.8% and 77.4%, respectively, While more than half of husbands, 52.3% compared to two third 69.7% of respondents wives, were in the same high category of degree of marital compatibility. 2- It was found that more than half of the respondents from husbands (53.3%), had medium performance of their family roles as a whole is medium, compared to 39% of wives. 3- There is a significant difference between husbands and wives respondents in terms of social compatibility and marital compatibility as a whole, while there is no significant difference with regard to economic compatibility. 4- There was a significant difference between husbands and wives in terms of performing the family roles, which are the role as husband and the role as wife Role as a father, role as a mother, informal social participation, economic role, as a whole. 5- There is a positively correlation relationship between marital compatibility as a whole, and between performance of husbands and wives severally for their family roles, and role as a father and mother, as a husband and wife, and the economic role, Finally, on the basis of previous results, the recommendations were suggested.

يستهدف البحث تحديد درجة التوافق الاجتماعي والاقتصادي والزواجي إجمالا بين المبحوثين من الأزواج والزوجات، وتحديد درجة أداء كل منهما لأدوارهم الأسرية المدروسة، وتحديد معنوية الاختلاف بينهما من حيث توافقهم الزواجي، وأدائهم للأدوار الأسرية المدروسة، وتحديد معنوية العلاقة بين التوافق الزواجي للأزواج والزوجات وبين درجة أدائهم للأدوار الأسرية. وقد أجري البحث في قرية محلة مرحوم مركز طنطا بمحافظة الغربية، على عينة عشوائية منتظمة تبلغ حجمها 390 مفردة بواقع 195 من الأزواج، 195 من الزوجات. وتم استخدام أساليب التحليل الإحصائي المناسبة. وأسفر التحليل عن نتائج يمكن إيجازها فيما يلي: 1-أن ما يقرب من نصف المبحوثين من الأزواج (47.2%) مقابل ثلثي الزوجات 65.6% ذو مستوى توافق اجتماعي مرتفع، بينما حوالي ثلاثة أرباع الأزواج والزوجات ذو مستوى توافق اقتصادي مرتفع 71.8%، 77.4% على الترتيب، في حين أن أكثر من نصف الأزواج 52.3% مقابل ثلثي 69.7% الزوجات في نفس الفئة المرتفعة من درجة التوافق الزواجي. 2-ما يزيد على نصف المبحوثين من الأزواج (53.3%) ذو مستوى متوسط لدرجة أدائهم لأدوارهم الأسرية إجمالا مقابل 39% من الزوجات. 3-وجد فرق معنوي بين المبحوثين من الأزواج والزوجات من حيث التوافق الاجتماعي، والتوافق الزواجي إجمالا. بينما لم يتضح معنوية الفرق بالنسبة للتوافق الاقتصادي. 4-وجد فرق معنوي بين المبحوثين من الأزواج والزوجات من حيث أداء الأدوار الأسرية وهي الدور كزوج والدور كزوجة، والدور كأب، والدور كأم، والمشاركة الاجتماعية غير الرسمية، والدور الاقتصادي، والأدوار الأسرية إجمالا. 5-وجدت علاقة ارتباطية معنوية موجبة بين التوافق الزواجي إجمالا، وبين أداء الأزواج والزوجات لأدوارهن الأسرية إجمالا كل على حدة، والدور كأب وكأم، وكزوج وكزوجة، والدور الاقتصادي.
