المستخلص: هدف البحث إلى التعرف على مستوى الاتجاه نحو التطرف لدى طلاب الجامعة، ودراسة مدى تأثرها بمتغيرات التخصص الأكاديمي، والسنة الدراسية، والتحصيل الدراسي. شارك في البحث (321) طالبا من طلاب السنة الأولى والرابعة من كليات علمية ونظريه بجامعة أم القرى، من خلال إجابتهم على مقياس الاتجاه نحو التطرف (إعداد الباحث). وتوصل البحث إلى عدة نتائج منها: تمتع أفراد العينة بمستوى متوسط من الاتجاه نحو التطرف، كما توصل البحث إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات عينة البحث في الاتجاه نحو التطرف تبعا لمتغير التخصص، كما توصل البحث إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى الاتجاه نحو التطرف تعزى لمتغير السنة الدراسية لصالح طلاب السنة الرابعة، وتوصل أيضا إلى عدم وجود فروق بين متوسطات درجات عينة البحث في الاتجاه نحو التطرف تبعا لمتغير التحصيل الدراسي، كذلك تضمن البحث العديد من التوصيات.

This research aimed to identify the level of attitudes towards extremism among university students. The research also attempted to specify the extent to which these students are affected by the variables of the students’ specialization, academic year, and academic achievement. 321 first- and fourth-year students from scientific and theoretical colleges at Umm Al Qura University had participated in this research. The research used a scale of attitudes towards extremism (prepared by the researcher) to collect data for the research. The results revealed that the sample members had shown an average level of attitude towards extremism as there were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the research sample in the attitudes towards extremism according to the specialization of the student. The research also found that there were significant differences in the level of attiudes towards extremism attributed to the variable of the school year, in favor of the fourth-year students. Furthermore, it was found that there were no differences between the mean scores of the sample in the attitudes towards extremism that could be attributed to the academic achievement variable. The research was concluded with a number of recommendations.
