المستخلص: يتناول هذا البحث دراسة ما سمي عند بعض العلماء بـــ (واو الثمانية)، وهو مصطلح مشهور بين أهل العلم، حيث ذكروا أن من خصائص لغة العرب إلحاق الواو في الثامن من العدد، واختلف العلماء في تلك الواو بين مجيز لها ومانع، فجاء هذا البحث ليعرض آراء الفريقين ويناقش أقوالهم، ويبين حقيقة هذه الواو، مع تتبع مواضع ورودها في القرآن الكريم والبحث عن أسرار التعبير بها. المنهج: اعتمدت في هذا البحث على المنهج الاستقرائي التحليلي، والذي يتمثل في تتبع واستقراء آراء وأقوال علمائنا من مصادرها الأصلية -ما أمكنني ذلك -في المواضع التي اختلف اللغويون والمفسرون بوجود واو الثمانية فيها، ثم قمت بمناقشتها والتعليق عليها ودراستها دراسة وافية ما أمكن ذلك لتحقيق القول فيها. النتائج: توصل البحث إلى عدة نتائج من أبرزها: المقصود بـــ (واو الثمانية): هي الواو التي تقع في الكلمة الثامنة من الصفات المسرودة لتدل على أن المعبر عنه بها ثامنا أو عدده ثمانية، وتسمية هذه الواو بهذا المصطلح لا يليق بكتاب الله تعالى، والصواب قول من منعها، والقاعدة في الواو في الآيات التي استشهد بها المجيزون أنها للعطف أو للحال، وهو ما ذهب إليه جمهور العلماء من اللغويين والمفسرين. التوصيات: أوصي نفسي والمسلمين عامة وطلاب العلم خاصة بالاعتناء بكتاب الله تعالى قراءة وسماعا وحفظا، وتفسيرا وعلما وعملا، وتدريب الناس على ذلك للإفادة من نصوصه وفهمها فهما صحيحا.

This research deals with the study of what some scholars called "Wao El-thmania ", a famous term among scholars, where they stated that one of the characteristics of the Arabic language is to attach the wow in the eighth of the issue, and the scholars differed in that wa between permissible and prohibitive, so this research came to present the opinions of the two teams and discuss their words, and show the truth of this wa, while tracking the positions of their flowers in the Holy Quran and searching for the secrets of expression. Curriculum: In this research, I relied on the analytical inductive approach, which is to track and extrapolate the opinions and statements of our scientists from their original sources, as far as I can, in places where linguists and interpreters disagreed with the existence of W8, and then discussed, commented on and thoroughly studied what was possible to achieve their statement. The results: The research reached several results, the most prominent of which is: the meaning of "W8": the wao, which falls in the eighth word of the adjectives listed to indicate that the expression expressed by the eighth or number eight, and the naming of this wao by this term is not befitting the Book of Allah Almighty, and the right saying of preventing it, and the rule in the wau in the verses cited by the authorized as kindness or the situation, which is what the audience of scholars of linguists and interpreters went to. Recommendations: I recommend to myself, Muslims in general and students of science in particular to take care of the Book of Allah, reading, hearing and preserving, interpreting, science and action, and training people to do so to benefit from and understand its texts correctly.
