تناولت الدراسة البحث والتحليل في موضوع حظر العضوية في مجلس النواب، في القانونين الكويتي والمصري، حيث أن النائب الذي يعبر عن الإرادة العامة ويسعى إلى تحقيق المصلحة العامة ويشترك في سن القوانين المحققة لها وفي مراقبة أعمال السلطة التنفيذية، يتعين إبعاده والنأي به عن أي موضع يؤثر في نزاهته أو حتى أي موطن من مواطن الشبهات، لذا إذا كان المشرع قد أوجب على أعضاء البرلمان واجبات عدة يتعين عليهم القيام بها على النحو المطلوب تمكينا لمجلسهم من أداء ما أنيط به من مهام على أكمل وجه، فإنه حظر عليهم إتيان عدد من التصرفات، حتى يغلق الباب أمام إمكانية استغلال العضوية البرلمانية لتحقيق مآرب شخصية بالمنافاة لأحكام القانون. واقتصرت الدراسة على بحث وتحليل، حظر التعامل المالي مع الدولة في المبحث الأول، بينما تناولنا بالبحث حظر التعيين في الوظائف الحكومية أو ما في حكمها في المبحث الثـاني، وأخيرا تناولنا بالبحث حظر انتهاك الدستور والقانون واللائحة الداخلية في المبحث الثالث.
