|a احدث ظهور الإسلام تحولا جذريا في حياة الأمة العربية، ونقلها من طور التجزئة القبلية إلى طور التوحد في اطار دولة عربية تدين بالإسلام، وتتخذ من القران الكريم مثلا أعلى، فأثر الإسلام والقرآن بالشعر العربي حيث اسلم عدد كبير من الشعراء الذين كانوا من اشرس الناس عداوة للإسلام، واصبحوا يدافعون عن هذا الدين بكل ما أتوا من فصاحة وبلاغة وقوة في أشعارهم ومنهم حسان بن ثابت رضي الله عنه، ولكن نجد قسما آخر من هؤلاء الشعراء على الرغم من إسلامهم إلا أننا نجد اثر كبير في أشعارهم وقلة تأثرهم في الإسلام، فقد ضلت على ما كانت عليه في الجاهلية.
