| 520 | |b The level of political representation of women in various legislative bodies around the world varies widely, and recent decades have seen a marked increase in the frequency of calls for women's empowerment and for their participation in political life. Despite these calls, efforts to involve women in political life still face many obstacles, especially in Arab countries. This study compared the participation of women in political life in the Arab countries of North Africa and the rest of the Arab countries of South-West Asia, noting the great importance of the role of women in political life, especially after the constitutional amendments of most Arab countries. | ||
