The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of the abundance of natural resources on price – in terme of inflation Dynamics- in Algeria during the period (1980 - 2017). This is done addressing to four important points: The first point dealt with the previous studies, The second point, in which we explained the effects of the phenomenon on prices, The third point mentioned the most prominent channels that help to contain the inflation in the rent countries, In the fourth we discussed the effect of six main macroeconomic variables on inflation in Algeria by using econometric methods ( the co-integration test and the vector error correction models to analyze the variance decomposition and the impulse response functions). The empirical results suggest that increases in the output gap, oil price, Broad money and expansionary fiscal policy raise the probability of inflation. As a result, we conclude that national economy is clearly affected by some symptoms of the Dutch Disease.
