اعتنى العلماء قديما وحديثا بالقرآن الكريم أيما عناية، وانكبوا عليه قراءة وتلاوة وتدبرا وتفسيرا وتدريسا وتعليما وسبرا للحجه؛ استخراجا لكنوز مكنوناته. ومن تلك العلوم التي اهتموا بها: علم توجيه القراءات القرآنية وتعليلها والاحتجاج لها، إذ أنه من أهم العلوم التي أثرت معاني آيات الكتاب العزيز، ودحضت شبهات الأعداء التي أثاروها حول كتابته وقراءاته المختلفة. ومن أولئك العلماء المحققين الذين اعتنوا بتوجيه القراءات القرآنية ضمن تصانيفهم المختلفة أحد أعلام العربية وأساطنيها: أبي عبيدة معمر بن المثنى، وذلك في كتابه الموسوم بـ (مجاز القرآن الكريم)، حيث اعتنى فيه بإيراد القراءات القرآنية متواترها وشاذها، محتجا لها في الغالب بوجوه الاحتجاج المختلفة، من غير استطراد في ذكر علل القراءات ووجوهها. ويعد أبو عبيدة معمر بن المثنى من أوائل العلماء المحققين الذين اعتنوا بفنون اللغة العربية وآدابها، وتحرير معانيها وأساليبها، ويحتل كتابه (مجاز القرآن) مرتبة الصدارة في المؤلفات التي عنيت بغريب القرآن الكريم، وبيان معانيه وأساليب العربية فيه، فجاءت هذه الدراسة في مبحثين: المبحث الأول تعرضت الدراسة للحديث عن أبي عبيدة وكتابه مجاز القرآن بإيجاز، اسمه ونسبه وكنيته، مولده ووفاته، حياته العلمية وأشهر مصنفاته، ثم التعريف بكتاب مجاز القرآن. وفي المبحث الثاني تحدثت الدراسة عن مفهوم توجيه القراءات القرآنية، ومعالم منهج أبي عبيدة في توجيه القراءات من خلال مجازه. ثم ختمت هذه الدراسة بذكر أهم النتائج والتوصيات.

Abu Obeida Muammar bin Muthanna is one of the first scholars investigating the arts of Arabic language and literature, and editing their meanings and methods, and occupies his book metaphor of the Koran ranked first in the literature that meant the strangest Koran, and the meaning of the meanings and methods of Arabic, The first subject of the study was to talk about Abu Ubaidah and his book summarizing the Quran in short, his name, his ratios and his craft, his birth and death, his scientific life and his most famous works. The study discussed the second concept of the guidance of the Quranic readings and the principles of Abu Ubaida's approach in directing the readings through his metaphor. He drew the Quranic recitations in the languages of the Arabs and their dialects, the knowledge of exchange, and the manner of expression and eloquence.
