|a يدور موضوع البحث حول سؤال الهوية والانتماء في قصائد الشاعر أحمد مطر، من خلال رصد علاقات التماثل والاختلاف بين الذات والآخر وتجلياتها في العمل الفني بوصفها ظاهرة شعرية جمالية في المقام الأول، ثم علاقتها بالواقع السياسي والاجتماعي المحيط بالشاعر، فضلا عن دراسة مستويات تمثيل سؤال الهوية في قصائد الشاعر عبر محورين أساسين هما الحضور والغياب، وقد كشفت الدراسة أن حضور الذات كان في صيغة تعادلية مع الآخر كون الذات لا تتحدد إلا بتعالقها مع الغائب وأن مكابدات الواقع منحت الذات تكاملها في احتوائها للآخر معاديا وصديقا وهذا ما جعل قصائد الشاعر توحي بتحد مستمر للذات ومقاومة لا تقهر تجاه الأخر، كما كشفت الانساق المضمرة في خطاب الهوية عن الوجه القبيح للأنظمة العربية الحاكمة الفاسدة التي عملت على استلاب الهوية الوطنية والحضارية للشعوب عبر ممارساتها القمعية التي دفعت الشعوب نحو المنفى والشعور بالاغتراب، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج نحسبها أنها قد قاربت حقيقة ما يصبو إليه الشاعر الكبير أحمد مطر.
