"تم اختيار مدينة الزبير التي هي المركز الإداري لقضاء الزبير في دراسة سكانية تحليلية وذلك على ضوء التغيرات الديموغرافية التي مرت بها خلال السنوات ۱۹۹۷-۲۰۱۹، على الرغم أن مسار الدراسة اقتصر على تقديرات عام ۲۰۱۹، إلا أن الامتداد الزمني للعقود السابقة لسنة الأساس كان لها نصيب في هذه الدراسة ولبعض خصائصها، تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على بعض الملامح السكانية لمدينة الزبير خلال عام ۲۰۱۹ وما تحمله من خصائص، فضلاً عن إبراز التباين المكاني للأحياء السكنية ولبعض ملامحها وتحديداً في حجم ونمو وتوزيع السكان، وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى الاتي:- إن حجم سكان مدينة الزبير ارتفع إلى (138595) نسمة حسب تعداد ۱۹۹۷، أي بنسبة (۷۹%) من إجمالي قضاء الزبير البالغ (176035) نسمة، ليصل إلى الضعف تقريباً في عام ۲۰۱۹ والبالغ (404180) نسمة، أي بزيادة مطلقة تبلغ (173325) نسمة، وبمعدل نمو يبلغ (5.7 %)، كما أن الكثافة الحسابية لمدينة الزبير بلغت (125) نسمة/ هكتار، أما الكثافة الحقيقية بلغت (334) نسمة/هكتار عام ۲۰۱۹. اعتمدت هذه الدراسة في كل جوانبها على تقديرات عام ۲۰۱۹ إلا أن الامتداد الزمني كان له نصيب فيها وذلك لكشف التغيرات الديموغرافية التي طرأت على بعض الخصائص، لذلك اعتمدت الدراسة في بعض أقسامها على تعداد عام ۱۹۹۷ وعلى المسح السكاني لعام ۲۰۰۹، في الوقت نفسه فقد سارت كل خطوات الدراسة وفق المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، فضلاً عن التمثيل الجدولي والشكلي والخرائطي الذي كان له نصيب فيها."

The study concluded the following:- The size of the population of the city of Al-Zubair increased to (138595) people according to the 1997 census, or 79% of the total district of Al-Zubair, which amounted to (176035) people, to almost double in 2019 of (404180) people, i.e. an absolute increase of (173325) People, with a growth rate of (5.7%), and the computational density of the city of Al-Zubair reached (125) people / hectare, while the real density reached (334) people / hectare in 2019. This study relied in all its aspects on the estimates of the year 2019, but the time span had a share in it in order to reveal the demographic changes that took place on some characteristics.
