المستخلص: تتبع أهمية البحث من دور القطاع الصناعي في رافد الاقتصاد الوطني التي تمثل المنشآت الصناعية إحدى لبناته، لما تسهم هذه المنشآت في الناتج المحلي، إذ تبين من البحث أن محافظة البصرة كانت تتضمن كثير من المنشآت الصناعية المتنوعة، إلا أنها تعرضت إلى الدمار؛ بسبب العمليات العسكرية التي مر بها البلاد، إذ بين هذا البحث عدد المنشآت الصناعية المنشئ في المحافظة والتي ما زالت متوقفة حتى الآن، مما يستدل من ذلك توفر القاعدة الأساسية للمنشآت الصناعية، على الرغم من آثار العمليات العسكرية وتراكم تبعاتها، فضلا عن الفساد الإداري والمساومات والجريمة المنظمة التي حرمت محافظة البصرة من فرص الاستثمار الصناعي، إذ تبين أن العمليات العسكرية آثرت في المنشآت الصناعية بأمرين هما: الأول آثار مباشرة أثناء الحروب التي خاضها العراق التي أدت إلى تعطيل كثير من المنشآت الصناعية في محافظة البصرة لتأثرها بالعمليات العسكرية بحكم قربها وتعرضها للضربات العسكرية المباشرة، التي أدت إلى توقف الإنتاج تماما، والثاني آثار غير المباشرة المتمثلة في كثرة الإنفاق العسكري، ومما أثقل كاهل الاقتصاد الوطني من المديونية والفوائد المترتبة عليها، وما آلت إليه هذه الأحداث من أضعاف القاعدة الصناعية للبلاد وتدهور المنشآت الصناعية، ومن الممكن إعادة تلك الصناعات إلى عهدها السابق وأفضل مما كانت عليه، لما لهذه المحافظة من إمكانات وموارد يمكن الاعتماد عليها لرفد عملية التنمية الصناعية، مما جعلها أحد أكبر أقطاب النمو الصناعي في العراق.

The importance of this research stems from the role of the industrial sector in the national economy where industrial establishments represent one of its basic pillars, as these establishments contribute to the domestic product. This research revealed that Basrah Governorate used to include many various industrial facilities, but it was subjected to destruction. Because of the military operations that the country has gone through. This research showed the number of industrial establishments established in the governorate that are still suspended until now, which indicates the availability of the main base for industrial, despite the effects of military operations and the accumulation of its consequences, as well as administrative corruption, bargaining and organized crime that deprived Basrah Governorate of industrial investment opportunities. The military operations affected industrial facilities in two ways: The first is direct effects during the wars that Iraq fought that led to the disruption of many industrial facilities Basrah Governorate was affected by military operations due to its proximity and exposure to direct military strikes, which led to the complete halt of production, and the second indirect effects represented in the large military spending, , , which weakened the country's industrial base and the deterioration of industrial facilities, and it is pain These industries can be brought back to their previous era and better than they were, because of this province's potential and resources that can be relied upon to support the industrial development process, which made it one of the largest poles of industrial growth in Iraq, as many basic industries of a large productive nature were established for export abroad.
