عني البحث الحالي (تطبيقات فن النحت البارز لدى طلبة التربية الفنية الكلية التربوية المفتوحة/ مركز كربلاء دراسة تحليلية) اذ يمثل النحت مطلباً علمياً وتطبيقياً في قسم التربية الفنية، حيث تمكن الطلبة من الاطلاع على تقنياته أساليبه وانواعه حتى ظهرت الأفكار المطورة لهذا النوع من الفنون التشكيلية التي تجري في السنوات السابقة واللاحقة، إلا أن ما يميز نتاج الطلبة لهذا العام المشاريع الكبيرة الحجم من النحت البارز وانعكاس تلك القيمة الجمالية على أدائهم النوعي، إذ تضمن البحث أربعة فصول عني الاول بمشكلة البحث وأهميتها والحاجة اليه وتلخصت بالتساؤل الآتي: ما التوجه الذي بني عليه مفهوم التطبيق في النحت؟ فضلا عن الأهمية الموسومة بهدف البحث: الكشف عن آليات اشتغال موضوعة النحت في أعمال الطلبة الدارسين في الكلية التربوية المرحلة الرابعة، فيما اقتصرت حدود البحث بنتاج الطلبة للعام (٢٠١٨/ 2019) كما قام الباحثان بتحديد المصطلحات. أما الفصل الثاني فمثله الإطار النظري بمباحث تاريخانية النحت وأخر في فلسفة النحت وثالث في النحت المعاصر ورابع في آليات التطبيق، أما الفصل الثالث فتناول إجراءات البحث وتحليل الأعمال لينتهي البحث بفصله الرابع ودراسة النتائج ومنها: ارتبطت فكرة النحت بمهارات الطلبة وأن تقنياتهم الفنية جاءت من خلال تعلمهم الفني فضلاً عن أن الأعمال حلت بحجوم كبيرة غير مسبوقة لتعبر عن مواضيع تراثية وتاريخية وطبيعية.
