المستخلص: In the second half of 1990, the Arab arena witnessed serious political developments that arose in the aftermath of the Iraq-Iran war and the exit of Iraq from them, burdened by large debts due to its events. This was accompanied by a sharp decline in oil prices, which constituted the main source of economic revenues in Iraq. This resulted in the deterioration of the Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations following the end of the invasion of Iraq by the invasion of Kuwait. This reflected a great deal on the Arab political relations, including the Syrian-Jordanian relations, which were clearly affected by the invasion. However, it failed to do so after Iraqi President Saddam Hussein refused to withdraw from Kuwait. However, Jordan did not condemn Iraq, while Syria condemned the invasion and went to what Jordan did, which led to divergence. Reactions to that crisis.
