يعالج هذا البحث موضوع مفهوم العتق وأسبابه والآثار المترتبة عليه دراسة في ضوء السنة النبوية وقد كانت من أهم أهداف هذا البحث بيان مفهوم العتق وتاريخه ومشروعيته والكشف عن الآثار المترتبة عليه بجانب التعريف بالهدى النبوي في معاملة الأرقاء واستخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي في عرض هذا الموضوع، كما استخدمت التحليل لتفسير المعلومات وتحليلها والموازنة بينها وقد قام هيكل البحث على مقدمة وأربعة مطالب وخاتمة وتمثلت أبرز نتائج البحث فيما تبين للباحثة أنه لا اختلاف بين معنى العتق في اللغة ومعناه في الاصطلاح كما أثبت البحث أن الرق كان مشروعا عند الأمم القديمة والفلاسفة وأهل الكتاب من اليهود والنصارى وقد عالج الإسلام قضية الرق بالتدريج وهيأ أسبابا للقضاء على الرق ورغب في العتق وتحرير الرقاب بصفة عامة ومن أسباب العتق في الإسلام الكفارة بالإضافة إلى تحرير الرقاب ومن الآثار المترتبة على العتق إرث المعتق من عتيقه ومن آثار العتق أيضا ما يتعلق بمال العتيق ومن أظهر مظاهر عناية النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بالأرقاء وصيته صلى الله عليه وسلم بالعبيد والإماء وتحذيره من إلحاق الضرر والأذى بالعبيد. ومن أهم توصيات البحث ضرورة الكتابة في مثل ذا الموضوع لتعلق هذا الموضوع بحقوق الإنسان التي أصبحت الوسيلة التي يبتز بها أعداء الإسلام المسلمين.
This study deals with the concept of manumission its reasons and effects in the light of Sunnah. The most important aims of the study is to demonstrate the concept of — manumission its history legitimacy, and explaining its results. In addition to introducing the way of Sunnah in treating slaves. The researcher used the descriptive method for presentation of the study and the analytic method for interpretation, analysis and comparing of data. The study consists of introduction, four demands and conclusion. The study reached to the following results: there is no difference between the meaning of manumission in language and as a term. The study proved that slavery was legitimated by the nations, philosophers, Jews and Christians. In addition, Islam has treated the issue of slavery gradually. Generally, Islam has established the reasons for the elimination of slavery and encouraged manumission and releasing people. One of the reasons of manumission is atonement in addition to releasing people. Moreover, one of the effects of manumission is the legacy of the slaver from his master and his money. In addition to the commandment of the prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, of not causing harm and injury to the slavers. One of the most important recommendations of the study is the necessity of research in this subject because it is related to one of the issues of human rights that the enemies of Islam use as a means to blackmail Muslims.
