That's why the study tried to answer a main question which is: What is effectiveness of a training program using Montessori Method in developing responsive skills for children with autism? Study Aims: - Constructing and applying a program using Montessori Method for developing and improving Responsive Skills for children with Autism. - Recognizing the responsive skills like (following instructions - listening and facial expressions) - Recognizing Montessori Method and how it can helps to improve Autism disorder skills. Importance of the study: First: Theatrical importance - This study deals with important participants in need for many programs in developing their skills. - This study deals with an important concepts (responsive language listening, following instructions, facial expressions) and its turn on the communication skills for the children with autism. - Shedding light on Montessori Method and Responsive skills. - This study deals with the field of special needs children that has need more researches because of the shortage of the researches specially which is dealing with children with Autism disorder and Montessori Method. Second: The applied importance: - Recognizing Montessori Method and how it works with children with autism. - Recognizing and improving responsive skills using Montessori Method. - Using responsive skills program with the children with Autism disorder to improve their communication skills. Hypothesis of the study: 1- There were statically significant differences between the ranks of mean scores in the study group in the pre/post measurement using a responsive skills scale in favor of the post test.
2- There were no statically significant differences between the ranks of mean scores in the study group with participants of the study (males & females children) in the post measurement and the responsive skills scale. 3- There were no statically significant differences between the ranks of mean scores in the study group in the post/ following measurement and the responsive skills scale. Study Method: Experimental method using one group with the pre/post measurements scales. Study Participants: - The study consists of (14) participants (7) kids boys, (7) kids girls as an Exploratory sample from the children with Autism. - The main sample consists of (6) Children with Autism, whose age is from (3-6) years old, (3) girls (3) boys. Tools of the study: 1- Stanford Benet test for measuring Intelligence panel. 2- C.A.R.S Autism disorder Rating Scale: (prepared by /Huda Amen) 3- Responsive skills scale (prepared by the researcher). 4- Responsive skills program using Montessori Method (prepared by the researcher). Statistical Method: To Verify The Validity of Hypotheses Of The Study, The Researcher Used The Following Methods: 1- Kolmogorov Test. 2- Wilcoxon Test. 4- Friedman test. 5- Mann-Whitney test The study results: - The Training Program using Montessori Method for developing the Responsive Skills was effective for the children with autism. - The Training Program for developing the Responsive Skills using Montessori Method was distinguished by continuous effectiveness, which appeared from follow up study.
