We present the results of an empirical survey carried out on the informal employment of rural women with a company that employs women embroiderers. Given the characteristics of the rural area, we see this informal employment as an opportunity that allows these women to come out of isolation. They encounter multiple constraints that prevent them from emancipating themselves. This work emphasizes the possibilities of fomalizing these craft activities through social and solidarity economy organizations. Nous présentons les résultats d’une enquête empirique réalisée sur l’emploi informel des femmes rurales auprès d’une entreprise qui emploie des femmes brodeuses. Compte tenu des caractéristiques de l’espace rural, nous considérons cet emploi informel comme une opportunité qui permet à ces femmes de sortir de l’isolement. Elles rencontrent des contraintes multiples qui les empêchent de s’émanciper. Ce travail met l’accent sur les possibilités de formalisation de ces activités artisanales à travers les organisations de l’économie sociale et solidaire. |
