|a تعد المياه مورد طبيعي هام وأساسي أقام عليها الإنسان القديم حياته اليومية، اعتبرها قوة غامضة تأثر بها. وحين عجز عن تفسير سر قوتها خصها بالعبادة والقداسة، محاولا تقريب وجهة نظر بإلهه فعبر عنه بوصفه بأشكال ورموز حيوانية وأخرى نباتية. ومن بين الآلهة التي خصصت لعبادة المياه إله البحر (نبتون) وإله المحيطات (أوسيانوس)، وفي هذه الورقة البحثية سنتعرف عن الإلهين بناء على ما روته الأساطير، وكذلك بقراءة لملامحهما من خلال تبليطات فسيفساء منازل وحمامات المدن الرومانية بإفريقيا البروقنصلية ونوميديا.
|b Water is an important and basic natural resource on which the ancient Man built his life, considering it as a mysterious force that had influence on him. When he was unable to grasp the secret behind its power, he singled it out for worship and holiness, trying to have a closer look to his God through an embodiment by shapes, symbols, animals and plants. Among the gods, dedicated to water worship, there are the sea god (Neptune) and the god of ocean (Oceanus). In this research paper, we will know about both gods based on what was narrated by legends, as well as by reading their features through the paving mosaic of the Roman cities’ baths and the houses in Proconsular Africa and Numidia
