هدفت الدراسة إلى تناول الصورة التشبيهية في رواية موسم الهجرة إلى الشمال للأديب الطيب صالح؛ بغية بيان مدى تناغمها مع الحال الموصوف بها وأثر ذلك في رسم الشخصيات ووصف بيئاتها، وإبراز القدرة التصويرية للطيب صالح على نقل المعاني التي يرومها، والوقوف عند مصادر التصوير الفني لديه. اتبع الباحث المنهج الوصفي وتوصل بعد البحث والدراسة إلى نتائج عدة، أهمها: قدرة الكاتب على انتزاع الصورة التشبيهية من البيئة وتحميلها من المعاني ما لا تحمله عشرات الألفاظ، جمعت الصورة التشبيهية بين جمال التشبيه وقوة المعني، ودلت على قدرة الكاتب في انتقاء تشبيهاته وملائمتها للمعاني وتفصيلها عليها تفصيلا حاذقا يبرز مفاتنها، استطاع الكاتب أن يرسم شخصية مصطفى سعيد عبر الصورة التشبيهية رسما يدل على غرابتها ويشوق القارئ لمتابعة أطوارها وأحداثها، لعبت الصورة التشبيهية دورا كبيرا في حبكة الرواية من خلال نقلها للأحداث ووصفها وصفا يجعلك تشارك شعور شخصياتها، جاءت الصورة التشبيهية- في أغلبها- حسية فيما يخص جانب المشبه به.
The study aimed to highlight the features of simile in the novel of Season of Migration to the North written by Etayeb Salih. The purpose of the study is to report to what extent the novel is in harmony with what it describes, and the effect of that on the portrait of characters and the description of their environments, reveal the pictorial capacity of Eltayeb Salih to convey the meanings he wishes, and to investigate the sources of his artistic portrait. The researcher employed descriptive method, and after the study and research, the study revealed a number of findings. The most important of them are: the capacity of writer to elicit the features of simile from the environment to convey meanings better than thousands words can do. The features of simile have combined between the beauty of simile and the strength of meaning. Results indicated the ability of writer to elicit his similes and make them relevant to the meanings, and explain them in ingenious details that reveal its attractions. The writer was able to portray the character of Mustafa Saeed by using features of simile that indicate its strangeness and attract reader to follow its roles and events. The features of simile have played a great role in the plot of novel by conveying the description of events in the way that makes you share the feelings of its characters. Most of the features of simile were sensual, principally in the aspect of likened character.
