| 520 | |b The present present study examines the representation of Muslim women converts in the Algerian newspapers discourse. Discourse in the Algerian newspapers focuses more on the Western world that refuses and denies Muslim women converts because of Islam without mentioning the obstacles they face within the Muslim community itself. In addition, it perpetuates gender ideologies that misrepresent these women. this study aims first at verifying the credibility of this discursive portrayal. Second, it aims at deconstructing Symbolisation of Unity as provided by Thompson J, B. (1990) and sheds light on the difficulties that Muslim women converts face after their conversion to Islam.
