|b Sexual violence is prevalent in armed conflicts in our modern times, and international humanitarian law and human rights law imposes an absolute presence on all forms of violence at all times and against anyone. Violence against women is a violation of many of the rights stipulated in international conventions, including the Geneva Conventions of 1949, And its two protocols of 1977, in which the four Geneva Conventions and their two additional protocols are the main instruments for the protection of women during armed conflict, whether international or non international, and that the protection of women was the first that came in international humanitarian law for pregnant women and mothers Breastfeeding women with the aim of protecting children and fetuses, while later covering women as a separate category for protection.
