يتضمن البحث الحالي دور تقنية المعلومات في الرقابة الإدارية، إذ ازداد الاهتمام بهذا الموضوع لأن المنظمات تقوم بتنفيذ الكثير من العمليات باستخدام تقنية المعلومات، وذلك لغرض الاستفادة من إيجابيات استخدام التقنية الذي يزداد انتشارا وبشكل مضطرد بما يخدم أهداف المصلحة العامة، لذا فإن مشكلة البحث الحالي تتمثل ب(هل هناك استخدام لتقنية المعلومات في الرقابة الإدارية، هل هناك دور لتقنية المعلومات في الرقابة الإدارية للوحدة المبحوثة، وما هو المجال الأكثر استخداما لتقنية المعلومات في الرقابة الإدارية)، وأعتمد البحث على فرضيتين هما فرضية الارتباط لدور لتقنية المعلومات في الرقابة الإدارية للوحدة المبحوثة، وفرضية التأثير، وهدف البحث إلى التعرف دور لتقنية المعلومات في الرقابة الإدارية، والتعرف على مفهومي دور لتقنية المعلومات والرقابة الإدارية للوحدة المبحوثة، وقد حدد موقع إجراء البحث بالمعهد التقني بابل، كما بلغ مجموع أفراد مجتمع البحث 87 فردا، ومن أجل ذلك استخدم الباحثين أسلوب دراسة التحليلية وهو من مناهج البحث الوصفية في جمع المعلومات باستخدام استمارة الاستبيان، واستخدم الوسائل الإحصائية، الوسط الحسابي، الانحراف المعياري، ومعامل الارتباط لاستكمال متطلبات البحث. توصل البحث إلى جملة من الاستنتاجات كان أهمها، هناك دور لتقنية المعلومات في عملية الرقابة الإدارية للوحدة المبحوثة، من حيث استخدام تقنية المعلومات في الرقابة الإدارية، وأن المجال الأكثر استخداما لتقنية المعلومات في الرقابة الإدارية هو المجال المالي والإداري بحكم طبيعة عملهما.
