المستخلص: تشكل الإنترنت أحد المصادر المهمة لانتقال المعلومة الثقافية أو التعليمية للأطفال. وقد أسهم تعدد القنوات والبرامج المخصصة للطفل، وزيادة سعة الإنترنت، إلى جانب توافر الأجهزة الذكية في متناول الأطفال؛ في زيادة قوة تعلق الأطفال بعالم الإنترنت. ومن هنا، فإن أهمية الوقوف على محتوى ما يتلقاه الطفل عبر الإنترنت تسهم في تعديل سياسات التدخل للحد مما يتعرض له الأطفال من أفكار متطرفة، أو من اكتساب لسلوكيات لا تتوافق مع قيمنا المجتمعية؛ مما يشير لأهمية تعزيز الأمن المجتمعي والمسؤولية الاجتماعية حماية لأطفالنا من الآثار السلبية للإنترنت. وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الكيفي، مع الاستعانة بالمدخل الأنثروبولوجي وعدد من الأساليب النوعية، منها المقابلة الموجهة، والملاحظة بالمشاركة، وتصميم دليل مقابلة تتوافق محاوره مع أهداف الدراسة، وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج، منها: ميل الأطفال لمشاهدة الرسوم المليئة بالعنف، وجود آثار سلبية على صحة الأطفال، كالإصابة بالتوتر والعصبية وضعف النظر، وشحوب الوجه، وكل ذلك يؤثر سلبا على التحصيل الدراسي للطفل، ضعف الوعي بثقافة الأمن المجتمعي داخل البيئات المجتمعية المحيطة بالطفل وفي مقدمتها: بيئة الأسرة، المدرسة، المؤسسات المعنية بالطفل داخل المجتمع؛ لذا توصي الدراسة بضرورة تكثيف البرامج التوعوية بأهمية الأمن المجتمعي حماية للأطفال من الآثار السلبية للإنترنت.

The Internet is one of the important sources for the dissemination of cultural or educational information to children. The numerous channels and programs dedicated to children, the increase in the Internet capacity, as well as the availability of smart devices within the easy reach of children have all helped to strengthen children’s attachment to the Internet. Therefore, the importance of being aware of the content of what children are exposed to on the Internet will necessitate the modification of the intervention policies to restrict children’s exposure to the extremist ideas on the internet and to the acquisition of behaviors that are incompatible with our societal values. Hence, it is crucial that societal security and social responsibility be enhanced to protect our children from the negative effects of the Internet. This study relied mainly on the qualitative approach and employed the anthropological approach, in addition to several qualitative methods, including the guided interview, participatory observation, and the design of the interview guide, the themes of which are consistent with the objectives of this study. The study concluded with several results, including (1) children are keen on watching violent cartoons; (2) there are negative effects on children’s health, such as stress and nervousness, poor eyesight, pallor of the face; all of which negatively affect the child’s academic achievements and (3) lack of aware ness of the culture of societal security within the environments surrounding the child, foremost among which are: the family environment, the school, the institutions concerned with the child within the community. Therefore, the study emphasizes the need for the intensification of awareness programs stressing the importance of community security to protect children from the negative effects of the internet.
