المستخلص: تعد الشخصية من أهم عناصر فن الرواية، وعليها يتوقف نجاح العمل من عدمه؛ إذ لابد من إجادة تقديمها في العمل الروائي، وهذا ما فعله عبدالله البصيص من خلال رواية (ذكريات ضالة)؛ فقد رسم الشخصيات، وحملها أفكاره ورؤاه، وعبر بها عن آمال وآلام جيله من الشباب الذين عاشوا مرحلة الغزو بكل ما فيها من دروس وعبر وذكريات، تبدو في مجملها شديدة القتامة، وهذا ما نلمسه عند رصد ظلال تلك الأزمة في الأدب الكويتي الحديث. وقد قمت بتقسيم البحث إلى مقدمة تناولت أسباب اختيار محور الشخصية في الرواية، والدراسات التي تناولت روايات البصيص، وبعض الرسائل العملية التي درست محور بناء الشخصية عند روائيين آخرين؛ ثم أتبعتها بثلاثة مباحث: المبحث الأول درست فيه الشخصيات الرئيسة، وقد انحصرت بعائلتي سلمان وحميد؛ لأن الرواية بنيت على العلاقة بين هاتين العائلتين، ثم درست في المبحث الثاني الشخصيات الثانوية، والتي توزعت بين رفاق سلمان في الحي والمدرسة والمخفر، وفي المبحث الثالث درست علاقة المكونات السردية بالشخصيات، فرأينا تأثير الحدث على الشخصيات، وعلاقة الزمن بالشخصيات، وكيف استخدم السارد تقنية الاسترجاع؟ وأجاد الانتقال بين الماضي والحاضر، ثم درست الزمن النفسي، وملامح ذلك الزمن في الرواية، وأنهيته بدراسة العلاقة بين الشخصية والأماكن المألوفة والمعادية، وأخيرا ختمت البحث بأبرز النتائج والتوصيات.

The character is considered one of the most important elements of the art of the novel, and the success of work depends on it. Therefore, it should be well-presented in the novel. This is what has been done by Abdullah Al-Busais in his novel ‘Stray Memories’ where he presented these characters with his thoughts and visions, expressed the hopes and pains of his generation of young people who lived through the conquest phase with all its lessons and memories, which in their entirety seem very dark. We see this when observing the shadows of that crisis in modern Kuwaiti literature. I divided the research into an introduction that dealt with the reasons for choosing the character axis in the novel, the studies that dealt with the novels of Al-Busais, and some practical theses that studied the axis of character building by other novelists. Then I followed it up with three investigations: The first topic, in which the main personalities were studied, was confined to my family ‘Salman and Hamid’, because the novel was written on the relationship between these two families. Then in the second chapter, I studied the secondary characters, which were distributed among Salman’s friends in the neighborhood, the school, and the police station. In the third chapter, I studied the relationship of the narrative components to the characters, so we saw the effect of the event on the characters, the relationship of time with the characters, and how the narrator used the technique retrieval, and mastered the transition between the past and the present. Then I studied the psychological time and the features of that time in the novel, and ended it with a study of the relationship between the personality and familiar and hostile places. Finally, the most prominent results and recommendations were presented.
