المستخلص: Pressure drop calculations in any producing system is highly affected by the type of the produced fluid; and most producing wells (Oil or gas wells) operate under multiphase conditions; when multi-phase flow occur, the calculation is more complicated and special multi-phase correlations are required. As the temperature and the pressure change with distance; also the phase behaviors of the moving fluids (PVT) are require a valid correlations. The key parameter for production analysis and piping system optimization is the selection of the best correlation either for multi-phase or phase behavior. The present work estimates the effect of some PVT properties on the calculations of the pressure gradient for vertical wells. Different compressibility factor (Z), oil viscosity (μo) and gas solubility (Rs) correlations were combined with Orkiszewski, Hagedorn and Brown and Beggs and Brill methods to predict pressure drop. The results have been compared with actual well data obtained from well FN 43- in Fula oilfield in Sudan to select the best matching correlations. It was observed that, for the well FN 43- the best matching multiphase flow correlation for the well is Orkisviski method; and the pressure gradient doesn't affected by the PVT Properties for the selected pressure gradient correlations.
